How it works
We explain the SEAI cavity wall insulation grant, check what your home gets, and when you send the grant check, we pass your answers to one SEAI-registered installer who covers your county. They price the job, do the work and deal with you directly. cavitywallinsulationgrants.ie is not SEAI or a government body and does not award grants.
Who gets your request
One installer, not a list. We pass it to an installer on SEAI's register for cavity wall insulation who covers your county. Nothing is agreed until you accept their written price, and you're free to get other prices too.
Where our figures come from
The grant amounts and rules from SEAI and Citizens Information, the typical costs from what grant-funded cavity wall jobs actually cost, and the county figures from SEAI's BER register, the CSO's Census 2022 and Met Éireann. SEAI decides every grant; our check is a guide.

How this is worked out
SEAI pays a fixed cavity wall grant for each house type, and a higher fixed amount to homeowners on certain welfare payments and to landlords with a HAP or RAS tenant. The typical cost is the median price of cavity wall insulation for your house type across thousands of grant-funded jobs, and the post-works BER is its median price less its own grant. Your installer prices your walls after a look: it's a guide to plan with, never a quote. SEAI decides every grant.
